I just raked last week! Still, I feel very fortunate to have fall color here in Nor Cal. Heading out in a few minutes.

California Sycamore. That's a plane tree to you Europeans. Closest thing to falling leaves here in so-cal. Not a lot of deciduous trees around, except these majestic things. There are walnuts and elders, but those leaves just fall off in a boring way when it first gets cold.
Not many leaves on the ground. Exception here because it's a park with a lawn. Generally the roadsides are kept pretty raked up this time of year to mitigate fire risk.

Here's some color that shows up in autumn. The 'holly' berries start to turn red this time of year in the Hollywood hills. (actually they are toyon)

We lost our leaves some time ago. This was my last time outside on Oct 21st. The bike would probably blend in too much if taken in front of a tree.

The oak in my front yard is likely to hang on to its leaves until mid-January, meaning I'm not going to get the leaves cleaned out until spring.

Most of our early snow has melted for now so I took the ‘77 Colnago Super out for a quick photo shoot in the front yard.

Actually, I don't know, I should find out. All the other maples in my area turn bright red, this one sometimes gets tinges of red but is mostly yellow. I've heard soil chemistry can influence fall leaf color in maples, no idea if that's a factor here or if this maple is a different variety from the others.

You don't see much in the way of autumn leaves, here in Ari-zoner, but after a storm, you can improvise. 😎
