Dear Mr Bianchi,
I bought this from Guido down in the alley behind the Bianchi dealer, but the decal is crooked, can I get a new frame?
Signed Gullible
PS - I asked for a BikeFax, or paperwork, but all I got was a promise that it was a brand new Bianchi.

honest question to the op:
Since you say you bought it from some guy and not a dealer, how are you positive it is a bianchi at all? What i mean is, how do you know that this guy did not repaint a schwinn varsity celeste and slap on a crooked decal.
I'm not saying this is the case, i am honestly curious.

I think Bianchi carries a pretty decent presence, at least it seems in the C&V forum. I can't wait for the OP to check back in on this one.

Meh, it's on the NDS. You should be posing with the DS facing out anyway.
Seriously though, it could be a factory second and the "guy" you bought it from didn't tell you. Bianchi might be able to tell if this is the case from the serial number.

I would call it positive identification to theft. It is now documented as a blem but a cool blem. I am not of the conformist mindset so factor yourself into my reply.

My 3 year nephew applies his stickers straighter than that. Looking at my Bianchi it's a one piece decal under the clear coat. No way to get the individual letters crooked like that.

My Pinarello had messed up decals under the clear as well. I ended up warrantying it.
It certainly happens.

I've always wondered how bike manufacturers line up and put on decals, is it all done by hand or do they use some sort of press to stick it on?

I honestly don't think it's a fake bike, the tubing feels perfect and authentic as well as double butted. I've owned the same frame before, too

2. Even if it seems well made, it still might be a knockoff.
3. Please post pics of the full bike, with some closeups of the tube junctions.

To paraphrase Hamlet, "doth protest too much, methinks." Seriously, a misaligned decal should not be a huge disappointment. Does it feel like a Bianchi when you ride it?

Q: could it have been worth the extra money to the seller to do a great paint job and apply decals and such? Where would you reap the Benjamin's on that? OP did you get a good deal on it? Bet he says yes....
