Watching live Supercross right now. No fans in the stadium. First sports event I've watched since the shutdown. Mini plug for Zwift when the announcers said the leader of the 250 race stayed in shape during the stoppage by Zwifting.

And they went back to riot coverage as soon as the main event started. Was really hoping for a break.

I find I have a hard time watching any sporting events without fans. There's something about the crowd noise that adds some buzz or excitement. Of course, this statement is based on college bowl games with 10s of fans in the stadium, so it could also be that I just don't care about two random 6-6 teams playing some no-name bowl in a high school stadium in North Dakota.

Maybe I'm just so starved for sport/normalcy that I can overlook things.

I caught a few minutes of the Coca-Cola 600, and it didn't seem that weird, because the cars are so loud, you don't ever get crowd noise anyway unless it's a super impressive pass or something. It looked a bit weird because it was empty, but nothing auditory.
I agree that NHL, MLB, NBA will be greatly impacted by the loss of crowd noise. Maybe they can pump in some fake noise....

Probably shouldn't have ridden yesterday. I got poison ivy. I had weird stuff weeping all over my legs during the ride. Plus the pink of calamine.

I upped the ante to the new "extreme" formula today.
I've also got some prednisone now if necessary. Didn't want a script, but if I can't sleep I can't be effective at work. And it's really busy now.
The ride was nice cause I could make the lactic come on efforts and temporarily forget the itchy feeling.

Also, I broke down and bought some more "underground birthday presents".
I sold a wheel, funneled money from my Paypal to buy some Aerocoach stuff. Went with extensions and the hugging arm cups. The extensions will be a little less extreme than my "homebrew" high hands setup. The arm cups with be nice as the ones that came with my open mold PDQ style aero bar are not very supportive or good for bumps at all. They suck.
This will close out the aero mods/purchases for that bike for a while. Maybe minute tweaks on position and practicing turtling more by riding a friendlier road I've memorized.
Still, all in through the wheelin and dealin and free frameset that TT bike and skinsuit/helmet/shoe/socks getup out the door is under $1200. Stupid stupid fast and good kit for that amount of money.

Just like for when I was into car stuff years ago. Always "the last part".
It's just a complex formula involving time and quantity of delivery boxes and time spent tinkering plotted against how much attention they get from the wife. Find the optimum solution. Lol.
Same with N+1. Gotta bide the time properly.

Two nights ago they wrecked a neighboring town riot / looting, and yesterday the twitterverse was organizing groups to go to our (and the neighboring) town and start things, specifically 'wealthy' neighborhoods. So my wife was super scared and was on social media til late watching feeds. I wasn't too worried, while we live in a nice neighborhood, we're basically the poorest looking block in that neighborhood. We also have plenty of security measures, outdoor motion sensors, cameras, a pitbull with a teardrop tatoo, and other 'protection'. Call me paranoid but we've had a home invasion when I was a child and I really don't want to repeat that experience.
None of these guys promoting this stuff or looting were protesters, mostly criminals taking an opportunity to get free stuff. Nothing happened in our town luckily.
