BMX Museum? I've used that site for some research in the past. I'm from East Tennesse and raced BMX locally in the early 80's. Spent a lot of time at The Back Yard in Kingsport, Joe and Better were good people.

I like most vintage BMX and MTB stuff, about equally.
Just spend too much time online, I need to ride more.
Cruz over and hang out.
....and no, I'm not trying to convert members to the Museum site .....LOL

I ran into some discrepancies about Vector. I remember the first MARK 2's being welded up in the back of the bike shop. Wade, Joe and Betty's nephew welded some of the bars (Vector stemless bars) and I remember the twin downtube frames on racks ready to go for chroming but I've never seen that information written up anywhere.
Here's a pic from about 1981-2 of a Vector that came out of The Back Yard (that's me the RL20 going over the bars). And I think that I'm running Bob Haro signiture bars. I liked those big bars, BH replicas and CW's were all I ever remember riding.

Maybe it's just me, but I don't think I want to dress up my bike like I just rode through the city dump. But you do you.
Somehow I don't think you'll have to worry about that.

What is the box with wires for?
Looks like it might hold a motorcycle battery.

That is the battery box, it holds a 12 volt lead/acid battery for the lighting system

you kind of got the idea, it has to look junky to avoid getting stolen.
It's all in the paint. At this point , there are much larger cargo bikes in New York.
I I often take brush clearing tools to widen the bike able portion of the roads around here.

This is a dual purpose cargo crate and wind chill reducing fairing.
i am building this particular bike so cheap, it's expendable.
It is a ten speed with friction shifters on the stem,
polypropylene is Not fiberglass. The color is molded in, nothing to paint.

Did you forget to attach it?
Hmmmm, weird.
Anyway, to be honest you just gave me a lesson on Vector. I don't know anything about them.
I kinda collect whatever falls into my lap from local deals and such. I keep ( hoard ) some of the cool stuff I come accross
and sell the other stuff. So I'm not really aiming for a certain type of collection. When I find something
cool and interesting I search it and add to my knowledge base. I also read the forums and gain insight
from talking with people like we are doing now.
So thanks

The Zip-Ties (Blue) have Not been cinched tight yet. A few drops of adhesive will go between the layers , but don't overdo it.

Interesting designs hotbike. I like the cargo area inside the fairing. Intelligent multipurposing of space if you wanted a fairing for your bicycle.
