Of course.

Lyme's not a very big place. Just follow the bicycles...or, find East Lyme online, follow CT 156 north off of I95. Turn on satellite imagery in google maps, about six miles up the road just past the Subaru dealership start looking to the right. Peter will leave out a sign, and there will be vintage fendered bicycles streaming in.

Lyme disease is named after the place where it was first diagnosed, Old Lyme, Connecticut.

While this looks like fun, 2,800 miles one way is a long drive.... not gonna make it.
Might have to plan for next year.

Do we need invitations? Because I'm not getting how this works.

Ditto. Posters have been available in the past, but for some reason I haven’t picked one up yet...

So far it looks like it’s just you, me and my buddy riding out from my place. I’ll send a text soon to figure out details. I need to confirm the ferry timing, I believe first trip across the river available was 10am last year.

There are usually a few folks with bikes and parts for sale, not a bad idea for anyone planning to attend to bring a few dollars in addition to the admission. You know, just in case.

I'm thinking of bringing a restored Ideale saddle or two, just in case someone comes with a wad of cash too thick to bring home again.

Yeah, I hear you. Planning needs to be done fairly in advance. Note, however, that early October cross-country flights can be pretty cheap. I got mine in advance for about $300. I'm shipping my bike out in advance via Bikeflights. If you don't want to ship a bike out, I'd bet some of the east coasters have an extra that you could use.

This is not a commercial adventure, more like a small Woodstock of vintage bicycle lovers.

Yeah, the poster is great to hang in your bike cave.

Most definitely! Are you going to be in PA on Oct. 6? 4 1/2 hr drive from Lancaster, but it'd be worth it! I think there are some people planning on camping nearby. If you need a hotel room, I think I've got someone who could share a room (two twin beds).

@greg3rd48, @Sir_Name, if you guys are staying over Saturday night we could organize a dinner. My gruppeto is catching a train Sunday morning, breakfast might be a tight fit in the schedule.

@greg3rd48 thoughts? Guessing we need to get you back to the train stop Saturday night, but something to consider. Maybe there’s another stop nearer to a dinner spot.

My sweetie and I intend to be there on our (ahem) French vintage tandem. Of course we'll be up for a ride.

The next day will hold the semiannual CCRT ride. All of you are welcome to join us. Most of the bikes are vintage. We start about 10 at the Dennis trailhead, ride all 22 miles to Wellfleet, than all 22 back too!

There's always a couple of rides to do, not very long ones. But the parade of vintage bikes is something to see.

I've looked at the maps and thought about transportation and seriously considered coming, but I think I won't be able to make it. Maybe next year.
