1977 schwinn stema
I've always thought the stem on the '77 Schwinn's is perfection. Structural loading wise, there is nothing extraneous about the design. Removal of any of the understated curvaceous shape would lessen it, but adding anything more would just be needless ornamentation. And to grace such a humble bicycle such as the Schwinn LeTour... that made it a great design, accessable to the humble masses.

Deltas have their fans. I nominate them for “most polarizing bicycle component” …in both the appearance and function categories (although in the function category, the vast majority of their detractors have never owned, ridden or in many cases ever seen a pair in person)

I've always liked the Huret cable guide - it's the one component on my PX-10 where I opted to not use Simplex.

Disraeli Gears
The most beautiful and comfortable brake levers and hoods I've ever used (Modolo, for Mavic, logo engraved):
Of course classic MAFAC levers are nice too.
And another prize possession:

Sugino 75 road group. Even though it is largely rebadged Suntour, it just looks more... hardcore.
https://djcatnap.com/zunow-z-1-road-...gino-75-group/ has some great pics on a very cool bike:
Ok, the pedals are pretty ugly...

Hottest quill is a 3ttt Record, more curvacous and beautiful than any Cinelli or Shimano offerings imo. Available in gunmetal as pictured here or regular silver.
As a fan of 80s and 90s steel bikes i have to say the original Camapagnolo Shamal wheels. More shiny curvaceous Italian loveliness, they make just about any steel bike.from the 80s onwards look smokin hot. Some bikes look better with the silver, some with the black, and some look hot with either.

Here's the Huret Jubilee group with the surprisingly elegant long cage RD. I love these TA Professional cranks, too. Yes, the inner ring is an adaptation to age and weight, but the group set takes up the chain without problems.
