Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

ViperZ --

Did you spritz your bike? I mean, I realize your bike is as appealing as a swimsuit model, but did it need spritzing? haha.

As a fellow litespeed owner, I concur with your sentiments on logos. I have thought about removing them, but, mine have grown on me.

Spritz that bike for the photo.....

Those photos were taken while washing the bike, after a ride that had intermitent rain.

My yellow decals are cracking if you look close, however I have a bunch of newer and different Litespeed decals that Litespeed sent me to try. Nothing exact or original, but close.

Yeah, my Tuscany decal is cracking as well. I have been thinking of getting some orange Litespeed logos, but money is tight. Whatever you do, don't go naked just yet, your Tuscany has just to much class right now.

Spectrum 98 Ti..

I built it myself so its a mix of a bunch of different shimano components I bought off ebay and craigslist.. I love it so far.. The crank is a pro team carbon (FSA)

The saddle is awesome and im so far beyond caring about the weight and size at this point.. The frame is made by merlin with merlin Ti for Tom at Spectrum. I believe its the same geometry as the extralight. The frame joints are simply beautiful, no beads or anything.. really nice..

Very nice momod.

Please post a detailed picture of the left chain stay of that bike. The graphics looks very interesting.

Thanks, I really love it. Im kind of new to this with around 4000 miles but Im finally getting how people can really get into their bikes.. it can become a little obsessive

ill post it (edit it) tonight when I get home..

they are actually some deadhead stickers depicting sunrise to sunset with the dancing bear traveling across the different times of day. Im a dead head of sorts, the type that works out and showers often though.. I put them on to cover up the name of the previous owner which Tom had stenciled in. To the left of the dead stickers is Tom's signature.. Eventually ill send it back to Tom to have it repainted but its pretty clean right now..

I wish.. I love his paint jobs.. You cant really tell but the black has metallic sparkle to it.. im really impressed and when I bought the frame off ebay I asked Tom about it and he got right back with me via email on the same day. Id like to have him fit me a bike someday.. real gentleman and craftsmen..

Thanks JR! Not as sexy as your Lynskey with the Lews, but they do have the same heritage in frame and wheels, Lynskey/Litespeed, MacLean Quality Composites/Lew/Reynolds.

Thanks, the Ti/Carbon Keos are amazing. Holding them in hand, you can't believe they weigh as little as they do

^^^ JR, the Lynskey decal states it's a Custom. What Level is it? 3? 4?

What is the actual size of the frame, and what is your inseam & height?

Thanks and I hope that isn't too personal

This will be here on Friday. I'm building it up with SRAM Force, Thomson post and stem, and I have a large selection of wheels, including Velocity Deep V's in black/red that match, Easton EA90SLs, and Topollino Revelation AC29s. Will be sweet, my first Ti bike. May change fork eventually, but we'll see.

Edit: Whoops. Sorry about that massive image.
