I had fun, but.... I just was completely confused as to where to go and what to do at most points, and ended up just dnf-ing myself and talking to the last checkpoint.

Thanks for everyone's work though, and I'm gonna have to practice more for gold sprints.

dude i rode my ass off. i just told myself that i would race until i found a checkpoint that was closed.

i ended up 4 out of 5 manifest. technally 3 out of 5, but i was one checkpoint shy of completing the 4th.

P.S. i'm not excited to take my sock off and look at my painted toe nail.

also, i'm very concerned about gary, he didn't finish! and no one had heard from him!

on a side note...

will there be any offical results?
i know the standings are going to be ****ing insane to decide/arrange but i'd like to see "how i did"

Gary probably got a flat or something broke on his bike. I wish I had his number.

i wanted to kill the people antiquing everyone. while a funny idea, they were way overboard. i also like how most of the people that finished before me didn't even do all the checkpoints.

i'm alive. i was, and still am, temporarily blinded. somehow the flour managed to get it my eye and swell it shut. upon riding around with only my right eye working i clip a car and crashed because of lack of peripheral vision and depth perception. i came home and spent the next hour trying to clean it out, gave up and went to sleep. im about to go try and clean it out some more now.

**** dude!
Went through my ****.
I had not one, but 3 "End this **** at" cards, and 2 of them were the same place.
Oh well, better a quitter than a winner.

I had fun...looking back it is a lot clearer what we had to do than yesterday in the heat of the race. I think that maybe a little better explanation would have helped.

[edit] maybe if the details of the race were explained online in the race description...or maybe that was the point...more quick thinking had to occur

yeah it was a fun race from what I saw, I just got home from the Hospital. I Clipped a car at the intersection of Yawkey and Ipswitch and they took me to Beth Isreal luckily my bro and I where riding together. Sounds like everyone had fun I guess I will have to wait till next year to finish the whole race. Dam my head hurts,

Results.

Sorry if you aren't on there for a DNF, I didn't get all the slips towards the end. All the finishers should be on there though.

i am so worn out today. did anyone get an acurate mileage of the race (provided they did everything). i've heard upwards to 50 miles, which seems sort of ridiculous and 40 seems more accurate but i'm usually a bad judge of this.

I had a awesome time, unfortunately I had to do the Beacon hill run twice. I raced with another out of towner and we had to break out a map at the end of every check point. By the time we were at the last 3 or so check points, everyone working them had gone home.

I was riding from 6:30 till a little after 11 when I showed up. I was beat, but I had a great time. Does anyone know how long it took the first place person to complete the whole thing?

tall eric and chris finished the whole race and eric told me chris' computer said 59 miles.
it totally makes sense, if you average 15 miles an hour for 4 hours you'd hit 60 miles. no question, especially for the kids who average 20 or more.

i think the early racers came in some time between 9:30 and 10? could be wrong.

Wow. This was my first race, and considering how little I ride now a days, I was pretty impressed I didn't fall from exaustion. I think Im headed to DC for the Easter Egg hunt, and this time Im going to folow someone who actually lives there.
