I have a Moto aluminum/carbon fork all Ultegra and Ritchey....got it 7 years ago from BD and it has been flawless. I also have a high end mountain bike (Cannondale Team Scalpel) and road bike (Pinarello) purchased from my LBS. Why do some assume that we can't use BOTH retail sources? BTW, my LBS owner tunes my Moto without blinking an eye because he knows I am his customer forever. I guess if the Moto is the only bike you ever buy then loyalty to the LBS comes into question?

I think you can modify that a little, some dealers realise that you buy the bike once, you buy parts/service/accessories forever.
