The greatest of bovine excrement when it relates to any bike with a singlespeed or IGH drivetrain with no derailer
Dual-leg rear wheel stands, like an old motorcycle wheel stand? I like those - no chance for the bike to pivot on the kickstand if loaded at one end or the other either. Wish someone made a quality piece that wasn't some cheap stamped steel thing off a Flying Pigeon.

Just like collecting vintage watches. Watchmakers who don't want your business will tell you "I can't get parts", or they'll quote you $500 for a simple service.

Last week, we took two such bikes and rode on the Hudson River Greenway. We were behind some cyclists who were going slightly slower than our cruising speed, and she said to me, "Let's blow past these people." She had never before said that in her life. I was amused. I am not about to buy an ebike, but I really do like ebikes. And I hope my spouse decides to buy one so she can ride longer or faster or up more hills.

No matter how much you spend on parts to upgrade that vintage bike, you can recoup it all when you sell it.
