Just got my LightBicycle 45mm with *gasp* rim brake with novatec hubs last month. They spin great, stop great. They're.... great.

This. For example, you can get these for less than $900.

1450 grams with ceramic bearings.
If you must have carbon, I would second LB wheels. I have been rocking a set on my old 26 MTB for close to 7 years and they have taken tons of abuse and still work great. These were built with Hope hubs.
I also have a set of Ican Aero 40 wheels that have been great so far but it is still really early in my mind to judge these (about 1500 miles on them).
I personally like quality hubs on any rim (hope, DT, King, etc).

You asked a question which I had already answered, so I answered it again. And now you keep trying to change the question.
Here's a tip: you aren't required to agree with me. Spend your money however you wish, even if it's on cheap cf wheels.

How many rooms are in your house? How many bathrooms? Tell us about your car? Your clothing? Your food? Why do you have the internet? Why a device that conneccts to it?
There is zero rationality in your statement.

Your statement is an utter farce and nothing more than a trolling attempt.

Because it's not enough to not have an ignore button lest some incessant troll continues to run their keyboard unabated,...
So yeah, mods, how 'bout that ignore button?

I think you should actually go back and read my post. I didn’t recommend against buying such wheels… I just said that no one really “needs“ them. Just like I don’t need all the bedrooms in my house and all the clothes in my closet – as you pointed out. So where is the disagreement?

Do you regurgitate such tripe any time anyone engages in any discussion of consumerism that exists beyond subsistence farming and handmade clothing?
Completely pointless and utterly irrelevant to the discussion.

The disagreement is in your use of such a farcical assertion in the first place.

They are really good. My mountain bike rims have taken huge abuse and been flawless. They also offer 5 year and lifetime warranties on their wheels, which people might not be aware of. And they are pretty much non nonsense about it.

I'm very impressed with thier build quality. I have purchased 3 wheelsets from LB, and the spoke tension has been well balanced/even on all of them. Obviously DS/NDS tension will be different, but they evenly tension each wheel. Not all of the budget wheelset brands do this.
