How would anyone else know how/if I responded to the poll? How would my response to the poll have any impact on any one else's decision-making while riding their bicycle?

You're trying to make this into something it's not.

You're trying to make this into something it's not.

Even worse, how would the idiot who ran the red light know that I had once accepted a wave on from a driver at an otherwise vacant intersection?

...there's a choice option, when posting a poll, to make the usernames of the voters in it visible to everyone. Unfortunately, this poll was not posted in that manner. So what could have been a useful snapshot for future historians is lost.

That's the kind of post that draws the scrutiny of the moderators. Looks as if you're hinting that you're a banned former member returning with a new account under a new user name. Hope you're not still using the same IP address.

I'm trying to remember all the times I changed my approach to my own safety on a bicycle because of the results of a BF poll. For some reason, I can't remember even a single time.

Probably feels like it when you post the same nonsense repeatedly. Different people are getting annoyed at the same stuff, they end up sounding similar to each other.
You went off the rails when you started falsely accusing people of supporting running red lights in front of moving cars.
You even managed to make FBinNY actually get mad. Don't think I've seen that before.

Sorry to attack again, but this is circular reasoning.

If you didn't stick around, nobody would be attacking, justifiably or not.

I'm too old and grew up and live in NewYork. My anger well ran dry years ago.

I came onto this thread seeking clarity (OK to laugh now) trying to grasp what the OP actually hates. (see post 13)

Turns out he seems to hate courteous drivers, rude cyclists, anyone who disagrees with him on even thd slightest detail, and just about everyone else.

Way back, I pointed out that we live in different worlds, and he had issues with that too. For the record the OP lives in a world where it's OK and even necessary to call out strangers over trivialities (yes OP, I know it's not trivial to you) and I live where we focus on our own behavior, rather than that of strangers.

Again, the irony. You make multiple unjustifiable accusations, then this whiny complaint? Just stop trolling with the stupid accusations if you don't like people getting mad at you.

There's a strict rule that if you are not angry, you cannot use more than 3 exclamation points in your first sentence.

And no, I'm not serious. If you say you're not mad, I stand corrected.

Well stop attacking yourself. Just take a step back breathe deeply and a nice long exhale and realize nobody is attack you but yourself. People here have agreed with you and you go after them with such vigor even though they were on your side. You want to play the victim card but you are doing it to yourself. If you ease up and relax and realize there will be people who disagree with you but also people who might agree with you and if they do agree with you no need to go on the attack.

Nobody needs this forum, it is not water, shelter or food. However it is a fun place if you allow yourself to enjoy it. If I didn't have a good time here I would have left a long time ago and I am as I say quite opinionated (but generally a chill person). If I was feeling constantly attacked as you claim to be then I would leave. However in this case you aren't being attacked you just flew off the rails and your speeding train went after people who were routing for you to get up the hill. Seriously just take a break from this thread find other threads if you think you can handle people agreeing with you sometimes and not react the way you have. When people agree with me I am usually pretty happy at least here where everyone is a bike person or at least should be considering it is a bike forum.

Everclear made a bunch of great songs but one that somewhat applies in this situation is Everything to Everyone but regardless maybe listen to some music take some time to relax a bit and enjoy life and for the record I think my favorite Everclear song is Fire Maple Song.

There's more subtlety in my emotional range. I can be annoyed without being angry. "Enough already!!!" is much more about annoyance, and loss of patience than anything else.

BTW I used to be good friends with LennyP. of TOGA bike shop, who was easy going with me, but had a reputation in the race community as extremely cantankerous. One day he confided that it's all theater, because you need drama to get your point across.
