In The Crosshairs
Job, family, training and racing didn't seem to be occupying enough of my time. So I added a CX Web site to the mix. My idea: send out a questionnaire to the top finishers in each category. Collate and post the answers. Watch the wackiness unfold ...
It is still in its infancy. Urban Cross in Charlottesville was my guinea pig. Check it out and let me know what you think ...

sorry for the late response, but when i clicked it originally, i got sucked into it trying to think of who all those people you talked to were pretty slick idea and interesting from a local's perspective. what if you made it a larger thing and broke it out into regions of the country or something? granted it would be a bit of a pain keep track of results across the country and contacting all those peeps, but folks might get into it and you would draw in locals from other regions as well.
pretty cool idea.

Thanks for the feedback, Bryan. My original idea was to get more than one region. And I'm still hoping to do that. This week, if all goes well, I will cover the Chi Cross Cup and Tech Cross races. So that will get me some midwesterners. Of course, by the time the site catches on ... if it does .... the season will be over.

I like the idea. I do feel that it generates too much to get through though. Maybe if you could condense it a bit

^^ Great idea. I'm all for the off-the-beaten-path races. I got some interest from the good folks at Kisscross and hope to include that series next week.

Thanks, man. That's nice to hear.
Now you have the extra added incentive of being interviewed on 'In The Crosshairs' to get you on that podium Sunday. ha.

That's a good idea. I was thinking along those lines and also doing a midwinter check in on training, etc. I'm also tracking down promoters, coaches, announcers and officials to interview in lieu of race action.

Me too. I also want to hear all their thoughts on courses, technique and tyre choice so I can learn from more experienced riders.

CXHairs meets CXMagazine ...
I have an article up on CX Magazine's site that pulls in some quotes from the In The Crosshairs site. It is a tongue-in-cheek look at pre-race food. It's here if you want to take a look.

Bilenky interviews posted at www.cxhairs.com.
If you thought a couple pallets of building supplies near the course at Urban Cross was sketchy, It ain't nothing compared to Bilenky.
Definitely on my calendar for next year.

Not a bad idea. I think I may be hitting up some coaches for interviews, next. On that note, I saw you got a shout out for your coaching efforts on the site. Nice work.
