@smoothness, i have been searching these forums since over a year ago when i bought a concord 10 speed from a garage sale for 35 dollars and wanted to know what i had, since than i have sold many bicycles and I found this website to be my most valuable resource in gathering information. Don't have to prove myself to anyone and not sure why you would even waste your time writing that im "playing the part" what benefit would that even be. Sucks I have spent more time defending myself against spiteful people than talking about bikes in my short time I have been on here. Thanks to the helpful and encouraging people

I don't think you have to defend yourself but most of us here search for bikes to work on and appreciate and then sell. What is your main ride?

main ride

My main ride is a Schwinn Circuit but its 2 cm to large and I am going to trade it for a Atala Professional with full campy. Otherwise i was riding a Miyata 712 for the majority of the past season which was nice to ride

Cool, maybe someday you can make one of the Chicago rides. I haven't been to one but yet but I'm looking forward to it.

Pump umbrella. Donk730, I know you'll probably want to sell a lot of the stuff you got. We have a for sale sub-forum, maybe you can join and post some stuff there.

Its a double cable stop/ umbrella pump clamp. Goes where downtube shifters would be when using barend shifters. Kinda rare item.

I totally called it. And Op, reason why I said you were playing the part? It's because I knew you were going to eventually segue into some situation where you'd be able to mention that you had put the parts up for auction. That's why I had the gall to say something - because it was clear your motivation was profiteering, not celebrating the beauty and function of something unique.

Good luck with your sale; I hope no one tries to fraud you with the "damaged goods" argument.

TL;DR: This thread sucks.

Dunno, is the Road Forum clogged with newbie posts that are thinly veiled attempts at determining Ebay value?

^ I bet it's more like the single-speed forum, where people thinly veil their mockery and criticism, while talking about the amazing quality of their rides.

(I'm desperately avoiding linking to memes, to make sure i do not alienate other C&Vers.)

Also, to OP: good luck with your sale. Hopefully people won't phantom bid for lulz.

@ Smoothness~I didn't need this site to find out the value of what I had, I don't even remember asking anyone what any of the things were worth, I just wasn't sure of the exact model of some of the campy components. Nor did I need this site to try and advertise my stuff because clearly the frames will sell themselves. I though this was a place I could come to and get some info, share pictures and talk with people. I'm sorry to say that I think quite a few people are upset they didn't get the deal themselves which i totally understand, but there is really no reason for people to act like jerks or make flat out wrong assumptions. Either way I will probably just go back into lurking of the forumes here because half the people seem really nice, and the other half are spiteful haters and not worth talking to. Its been a nice two days here but I don't think I will be posting again. Thanks for the people who helped and get a life to the people who are just jealous

Donk. love the bikes. sorry for the flames your getting here. Im new hear and posted quite a bit as a newbie. I have had no issues just posting my new stuff celebrating the art of the bicycles im posting. There are those that are trying to protect this section of the forum from people selling because the goal of the host is to have you pay a fee to sell stuff here. I believe that its thier right to do so. I was also gently reminded that there is a for sale area. I need to sign up and pay for that sales area. Its affordable.

As for jealousy. Wow. I didnt read the entire thread but the economic status of everyone here is different as well as thier life views. In life there will be those that envy and they wear it on thier sleeve. There are also those that can celebrate others good fortune. Just roll with it. Its a great forum and i have enjoyed it for the last few weeks since I joined. I have received a lot of great advise from those here and it has served me well. The only thing about this site that is bad for me is that it encourages me to get more stuff..lol

Don't know where some of you are getting "envy" / "hater" from.

This guy came here to get his info then to disappear back to Ebay, not to contribute anything useful to this forum. He just wanted us to do his research for him and maybe throw some cash at him.
