You teased many of us.
You did the lazy action and trashed collectibles that many of us would have liked.
I offered to pay you for some mags with shipping.
You then told me they were gone.
I informed the group since your #10 was not clear and I did not want others to spend their time and yours posting or PM'ing.
Then you asked me to report which I did.
You then put it on me.
Ok, that is what I feel is an accurate assessment of this interaction between you and I.
I will probably not reply to you again so have the last word if it pleases you.
Amen !

Nobody else is chiming in…You may have to accept that #10 just wasn’t clear to you…
I was lazy?!
Maybe you didn’t read the whole thread…
I was sharing a situation, my situation, with the group and somehow your knickers got in a bunch, maybe two days later, all wee wee’d up about you are affected by my situation…
Go back and read how the group was so awesome with their replies…about their empathy to my life situation…real life suggestions…not after the fact BS…
Start from #1 again…read it through like it’s about me, how I’m trying to get through this…by sharing my angst about getting rid my memories…
You were asking me to go through the magazines, choose certain magazines, package them, figure out the postage, and mail them to you…Really?! That actually sounds ok to you?!

Fantastic! American Cycling (at least the ones I had) were black and white mags just a few pages). I am not sure I had read that exact one but that’s what I miss after my stash got chucked. Thanks for the flashback!

Did you pay cash money for those? That hurts as well. Alas, the fallacy of sunk costs makes us (any of us) hesitant to simply throw them out.
EDIT: (Failed to understand post #10). Going forward, you must decide based on the best value outcome to yourself. Likely, the best value is in taking some tax deduction after carefully accounting, valuing and then donating them. The trick will be to find a vintage bookshop that would accept them as a donation. Another target might be to donate them to a bike coop, preferably one with a substantial community outreach. They could have a resource area that patrons could use. Just spit-balling here...

All decisions have been made and accepted…everyone intimately involved is satisfied with the outcome…I will not put myself in this position again! Moving on confidently! Thank you all for your concern(s)…
