Last year JugglerDave and I learned we could do a metric, and this year it was SOOOOoooo much easier! But this year I learned more:
Denny has Rottweilers. Don't go in Denny's house. The doggies won't like it. Best to heed this advice.

Do you think if I hooked a couple of my Rott's up to a recumbent bike, I'd get away with being an Amish cart next year?

It felt great seeing all you again, I'm glad we could meet up for lunch and at the rest stop.
I would have liked more time with you all but I'm glad that I started early. Hey I completed it this year!

Some pictures...
As I looked, I realized I took no pictures once the ride started.
But here are a few of the pre-ride including one from Saturday, and one of the lady that was kind enough to take the group photo for us.
At one point, it seemed like everyone was on a cell phone, and a humorous thought occurred to me... someone calling someone and looking at them and asking in an irritated tone, "Would you please answer your phone?"
I am glad that others were more dilligent in photography...

Here's another ride, in my hometown. I don't know if any of you have done this ride, the Schuylkill Scenic Century on Sunday Sept 10.

MikeR, it was great to see you - so glad we met up at lunch! Cheers for you on the finish; last year it was so hot, I think we all struggled at one point or another.
I'm sure we'll be running into one another out there another time this season. Thought you might appreciate a couple of shots of that beautiful ride of yours:
And Darwin, Yes! We were talking to each other on our cell phones in that one shot

Hey! I like the new avatar RTNW. If you got it...might as well flaunt it.
I'm thinking about this Seagull Century you folks mentioned. Have to check the date to see when and where to see if I can make it.

It's the flattest century around. There are only two hills: one a bridge overpass and the other is the bridge out to Assateague Island. The rest is flat...really, really flat, like a billiard table flat! Great food (baked goods, bagels, ice cream, fruit, etc.) at the stops and really huge turnout of around 7-8000 people. They have showers available at Salisbury Univ. (ride start/end) and pre and post ride dinners as well.

I found me a Jessica!!
Kloden and SD:
And UGH! I need to lose 32,768 lbs before that bike looks right on me. And those are 46cm bars too!
The stupid thing is, both the Trek and the Scattante are almost exactly the same size, and the Scat is compact, and it even looks fine on YOU, and you're like 6" taller than me. So it can't be the bike, it has to be my fat arse.

Dex, I don't think your helmet is crooked . . . I think maybe it's your head.
And you look adorable either way.

Hmmm, anybody see me? I went through a few pages on either side of where you guys are but didn't see any of me. I wasn't invisible was I?
Come to think of it, I don't remember even seeing a camera until right near the end of the ride. I thought it was like 3:05PM or something like that on the clock. Were there others wearing camoflage or something?

I'm going to circle back to each and every photographer on the Bucks County Covered Bridge ride and make sure they get a shot of me.
