My last vintage purchase?

Last week I received a PM from one of our members here, alerting me to the existence of a bicycle possibly worth adding to my stable. I took a look at the eBay listing, and swooned. On Sunday, I received that happy e-mail....you won!

So...

Dear Seller of East Hill's new bike,

You have an Instant Payment of a lot of money USD from East Hill.

East Hill,

Thank you so much for your bid(s). As I stated in the description, I will have it professionally packed by the local bike shop and get it out to you Fed Ex Ground. I hope you will enjoy the bike. I will drop you another email when enroute and please do the same when it arrives.

Uh oh!

Hi East Hill,

The bike is at the local bike shop waiting to be packed. They said they should have it ready tomorrow or Thursday. They are waiting on a shipment of bikes to come in, so they can use one of the boxes. Sorry for the short delay.

Thank you,
John

and here I was expecting to hear East Hill tell us she'd given up collecting nice bicycles. Glad to find I mis-interpreted the thread title. Am looking forward to the eventual pictures.

So it's a Rene Herse?

I tell my wife it's my last bike every time I get one.

There will be joy and much happiness on the forum and on the Easthill of Kent when at last the secret is revealed. Now there will also be much wailing and gnashing of teeth in the tiny hamlet of Sumner since one sorry and forlorn vassal (guess who) can not be deemed worthy of such a conveyance.
