that's assuming they're insured/bonded, otherwise you'll have to wait for them to pay for your losses before you can heal.

Most landscapers in my area face traffic, so they see me coming towards them and they almost always pull-up and stop what they are doing.

I did get dinged today though! My front tire flung something to the left and it hit a car that just happened to be passing me and whatever it was, it bounced back and hit me in the leg. There's a first time for everything! ROFL! I'm surprised the driver didn't stop because it sounded like a BB hitting the car...it was pretty loud.

Sorry if I didn’t paint the picture clearly enough for you. They have their back to me and any debris is flying at a 90* angle from them, straight across the road. When I am passing them they are exactly 0ff my right side with cars doing 45 MPH on my left. I cannot move over and the weed wacker guy cannot see me. The rock flies up and hits my right cheek just below my cycling glasses. With a slight change in angle, based on it’s trajectory it could have easily gone right between the lense gap and my cheek and hit my eye. Yes there is a gap between the lense and my cheek on the side and I use pretty broad lenses due to dry eye. It was a freak thing, but freak things happen. I just don’t know how you can second guess something you did not directly experience. It’s not a good practice.

real question is...are cycling sunglasses equivalent to ANSI-rated safety glasses?

Some glasses marketed for cycling and other sports do meet ANSI safety glass standards, and have markings on the frame and lenses to indicate that.

As with anything like that, unless you're testing them yourself, you're trusting that the manufacturer is being honest, and that you haven't purchased counterfeit goods.

Yeah, like bread made from human hair, for example.
