Turbo Cotton VS. Conti GP5000?

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Which, if as you're saying, what pros are riding should have such a strong influence on lesser rider's tire selection, how many stages do you think a TdF rider will put on a set of tires before they're binned?
You have a simplified version of how this works.

I wanted to revisit this thread because I am a lover of the GP5000 and I had asked previously on this forum about switching to Turbo Cottons. After getting a double-flat on Saturday, I purchased a set of TC’s (700x28) and took them for a spin for the first time tonight.

HOLY SMOKES! What a tire.

I’m sure it will have its drawbacks, but for now I am having a great time.

If you have good roads, the TCs are absolutely awesome.

I want to try the new Veloflex Corsa Race, though, and see how they match up.
