On my old commute, that just isn't possible without just going off in a random direction and coming back again, or intentionally missing turns and then looping back. There are only really 3 routes out for most of the way.

On the new commute, there are other theoretical possibilities, but only about 3 that I'd be willing to ride. The primary one is 23.7 miles. The next is 27 miles. They get worse from there. I really don't need more than 24 miles of ride twice a day.

I assume you're talking about actual different routes, not "the same route 22 miles of the way, just take a slightly different road for 2 miles"
