Be sure to use socks that have a hole in them for reduced weight.

The problem with black socks is if you get a hole in them, a 'black hole.' According to the principals of physics the black hole will suck in any and all matter around it, making your bicycle 9
(and you) heavier and heavier, thus making you slower and slower as you ride.

So nope, no black socks for me, I'm sticking with white socks.

And the Clintons had a cat named Socks. It was a mixture of black & white fur:

Did you say that colored socks are heavier because of the dyes used and that’s a concern for you. Mon Dieu!

Jeez, grey wool socks with sandals. Don't you people know anything?

I also wear them with brown Shimano SPD shoes.

White socks = American style.

Black socks = European style.

European style kit is *always* faster. Therefore, go with black socks.

No way. Just the opposite. You can troll away as long as you don't violate certain rules.

Site traffic means more money from ads. This is a for-profit venture.

I have two pairs of those. My ex-GF is a leap baby. Another guy who we used to ride with was born on the same day and year. They were born less than 1 hr. apart.

While money doesn't matter to you keep in mind you gain nothing from going with a pair of $5 socks to a pair of $30 socks, both will have 100% polyester so that both will wick away sweat the same. These are rated very high: https://www.amazon.com/Yijiujiuer-Cy...g=gearweare-20 OR these: https://www.amazon.com/Pearl-Izumi-A...g=gearweare-20

Interbike socks were quite the thing.

Fortunately, neither they, nor their socks, are anymore.
