More important is whether it is meant to be worn against the perineum while pressed against a saddle. (Hint)

OK, I turned the tights inside out just to see the stitching. there is a four and a half inch gap that narrows down to a two inch gap between the stitching that runs vertical. At the most narrow gap is where the legs meet.

I look at the stitching itself and compared it with the Assos and also the 2XU compression bike shorts that I own and use. Just by observation, I would say the Under Armour stitching is as good as these two bike specific stitching.

Now the question is whether the stitching or any stitching will somehow cause a rash over a given period of time. In the early morning rides during So Cal winter months when temps go to the low 40's occasionally, I have not experienced any discomfort from the Under Armour compression tights against bare skin at the perineum or any other parts.

On day time rides during winter months, the rides are longer and the temps will go up as the sun begins to shine. Even on those longer rides I do not experience any discomfort from the stitching.

This doesn't mean others would have similar experience than mine. Just try it.
