What did you just buy for your gravel bike?

I pedal in my sleep...
FSA Adventure bar, for my first foray into wide drops.

I've moved a compact Omega from bike to bike for years and I've always loved the feel of the bar. The Adventure arrived a few days ago when I was out of town but I just got my hands on it last night. I really like it so far. Bar tape should be here Friday so weekend project!

Only 14 grams heavier than the estimate from the ProWheelBuilder tool. That's 0.7% difference.
Panaracer GK SK were pretty difficult to get onto the hookless rims but they are holding steady pressure since last night.
Panaracher tires smell soooo good.
Significant changes to this bike very soon.
I have new Ultegra centerlock rotors, ordered four piston Hope RX4 brake calipers, Absolute Black 46-30 chainrings and will be attempting to use an 11-42 MTB cassette on these wheels. If successful I'll have a sub 20 inch low gear.

I just realized the lockring which came with the rotors can't be used as the 15mm end cap is too wide to use the tool. I'll have to get the SM-SB50 external spline lockring.
Is that what you are talking about?

I went from a 46-30 FSA chainrings and the 48-32 ovals are easier to turn over on hills.

Riding is my addiction
Not received yet but bought a Ritchey Comp EvoMax Handlebar. My Trek Checkpoint SL6 came with a Bontrager bar that has no flare. I bought the Ritchey because it has a 12 degree flare in the drops.
Double-butted 6061 alloy
40, 42, 44 and 46cm widths
Evo Curve shaped top with 12-degree flare of the drops
Drop/Reach: 120/73mm
12-degree drop flare
4.7-degree sweep, 0 degree flare
BB black finish
292g (42cm)
Also bought my first MTB shoes. Been using Sidi road shoes for years so I bought Sidi Dominator 7 Men's Shoes 43 Shadow Black and Shimano XT M8020 SPD Trail Pedals.
So far I've been using my SPD/SL pedals on my road shoes.

Previous bars were Norco Compact road bars that came on my Valence
The new bars add a bit of flair and make the levers easier to grip from the drops. The flats are oval and the bottom of the drops are longer too.
ANd double wrapped with Brooks Cambium tape. I'm looking at flexing this for a road/light gravel bike by adding mixed terrain tires and perhaps a larger cassette down the road.

CarbonFan rims and Carbon Ti hubs.
First 700c wheelset build (D-Light and Wheelsmith brass nipples).
Will be used when I'm not heading into the rockier/softer stuff.
Should come in around 1220gm.

I run it with a 36t chainring, and as recommended by my LBS a 12 spd eagle chain. I had a 40t but found the climbing ratio wasn't low enough for my local trails.

I recently used this great mini write-up from the road cycling forum. I have a taillight mounted to the swat mounts under my seat so a regular saddle mounted bag wasn't going to work for me. And, like the author, I hate having a bag there anyway.
My Diverge frame has 3 attachment points for a cage on the seat tube so I didn't need the 2 slot B-Rad, only the 3 slot. But I like how it turned out. The small size lezyne bag is only big enough for tools, too small for a 35-45c tube and tools. The next size up bag, medium, mounted differently so it wouldn't work right with the medium size accessory mount. The mounting plate hole needed to be opened up a bit to fit the buckle on the bag strap but since its aluminum a sharp steel hand file made quick work of it. I really like how clean it looks on the bike.
The repair kit is a Lenzyne micro bag, mounted with the Wolf Tooth B-RAD system. I didn't like having the bag under my seat, and then I was carrying it on of the cages, but I knew I'd need both bottles when it got warmer. It's a system that mountain bikers use to add more bottles and bags to their bikes, or to just move a bottle when there's not enough room. I used the three hole mount for the bag, and a two hole mount to move the seatpost cage up a bit.

PDW takeout basket/bag. Perfect size for a six pack and mounts to the handlebars without the need for fork stays.
It works surprising well as IAB grips as well

There is really no way around it. I've tried every combination of bag and packed them every possible way but simply can't carry what I want for a week long trip without a frame bag.
Frame mounted bottles will have to make way and and cages will mounted on the fork. The frame bag has a battery cable/hydration hose port and a 1 liter platypus hydration bladder might inside the bag.

Ordered Hunt 4 Season wheels. Earlier in the week ordered a bunch of other parts - Sram Force 1 HRD levers, calipers, and RD, and a PG-1175 cassette. Pretty stoked to see the finished project!
