It looks from here like that rear wheel needs to go back in the dropout a bit further and or maybe a chain link, hope that skewer can hold tight on that stamped RDO.

That's what we had last month. We caught a little bit of rain, but a lot of wet roads.

C'mon! If I moved it any further back, it would go from handling like an average everyday Cadillac to one of these...

Back on topic...please keep the pictures coming of your rides. Lots of oogling over bikes needs to be had!

I finally have a bike with fenders, but unfortunately I've only had it a few days and it's not rideable yet.

My iPhone weather app says Saturday says 0% chance of rain for a Saturday ride. Weather Underground says 8% to 16% chance. I won't make a final call until Friday afternoon or evening, but it's looking good for now.

And like SwimmerMike, I have a bike with fenders. Unlike SwimmerMike, my fendered bike is rideable and works just fine. (It has gotten most of my 2024 miles so far.) So neener-neener, Mike.

Riding in the rain is never better than Type 2 fun. More often, it's Type 3. Sometimes it's not even that - not fun at the time, not fun in retrospect. no great stories, just miserable wet and dirty suckage with no redeeming features plus a filthy bike to overhaul).

Don't ask how I know, because you already know how I know . . . .

If I was there , I would join you guys. Throw caution to the wind and wear my skunk stripe proudly if it rained . “I need no stinking fenders” . I got caught twice last year in the rain and my arse and Jersey had a nice stripe up the back . Now I’m not talking about a deluge , just a smattering of rain and mud.

In between storms …so I thought!
I took off in the morning after one heck of a storm the day before, you can see by the debris from the storm gully. The weather app said we were gonna get a break …. yea ….they lied! It took a few hours to clean the bike but the ride was worth it. The very reason to have a few “patina” bikes in the stable!

Same. I got soaked one time when there was a 9% chance of rain. Important lesson: 9 > 0!

Forecast has shifted to rain from 9:00-11:00 on the peninsula. I’m going to try to get out sometime today between showers. Hopefully next month is better.

Of course, because we canceled, the rain has held off. We could have had a nice ride. That bank of green stuff has held up off the coast for the last 3 hours.

Damn. You'll do anything to not ride with us. Seriously, I hope it's nothing serious and we see you out there next month.
