I'd replace the whole freehub body, assuming you can get one. There's been more damage to that freehub mechanism than just a broken pawl spring... that's just the thing that made it stop working when it did. The only part of that hub I'd trust is the shell and the axle. Maybe the bearings... maybe.
A new spring and pawls will probably work... at first, and under light use. Blow a shift while trying for a bail-out standing downshift... one loud "SNAP"... and you're suddenly on the ground, holding your groin, writhing on the hot gravel, in so much pain that you can't even ask, "how's my bike!" (Which will need a new rear wheel, and probably a new rear derailleur and derailleur hanger. You're also quite likely to bend the drive-side chainstay.)

When freehubs die, they tend to die hard. No, yours didn't. You got really, really lucky.

looks like i might get a new rim afterall
took tire off and noticed part of rim caved in abit
not much
but abit
might be best i just replace whole thing
