Today marks the start of this self proclaimed drinking holiday at penn state, where thousands of underage kids come to penn state, drink, and destroy the town (and be ****ing obnoxious).
Thankfully, a guy that works in the lab down the hall just came over and said, "Want to go to philly this weekend?"... Salvation.

(yesterday) I entered my bike in OSU's bike show. I didn't win any prizes, but there were some really cool bikes there! Free food. Couldn't pass that up

Today I: had a pretty fast ride into work on the Leader. Overall average isn't super high, but there were a lot of sprinting shenanigans and ****ty headwinds. Was way fun. Gearing up for the MASH NAHBS race!

Today I people need to learn to hold a f***ing line. Why the f*ck do you own a $5000 road bike when you don't even know how to f***ing ride one? Also, I ******** hate people who can't accept getting passed, especially when they are the same people who can't hold a ****ing line. F*cker clipped my back tire. I hope my Alex 500's f*cked your zipp 808's in the *******. I hope all the carbon is f*cked up. all of it. F*ck you.
Aside from that, today was awesome. The weather was ridiculously nice, I couldn't get off my bike. Seen a lot of people walking their bikes with flats. Patched one guy's tire for him, He was a nice guy. Couple miles later, offered to patch another lady's tire, but she explained to me that her tube was ripped, so I gave her my extra tube. She was so grateful, she wouldn't let me leave without taking 20 bucks from her. We damn near argued for five mins about it. lol.... I've never argued that someone shouldn't give me money. Real nice lady. great day.
Also, flipped my stem, and slammed it. My Secteur rides like a dream now.

Today I went to get a stem adapter from my LBS and get my headset tightened.
It turns out my headset was ****ED. Indexed like you wouldn't believe.
I got it replaced and it's super nice. Also...it's black
Long story short, fate does not want me to have a stem adapter. Quill stems it is.

Well, I was pulled over in a friend's car here for the first time.
Cops here are so lulzy. The motorcycle police just flip on their lights, point at you, then expect you to pull over. Of course, she pulled over, but the ****? Where's the excitement in that?

Today I put new wheels on the 722, with new tires... and put on clipless pedals that I had laying around. So much for keeping it a town bike.
Pictures soon!

Last night I got doored. I was cutting through the yuppie/******bag district when this cab stops in the middle of the road. There's just enough room for me to swing around the left side without going into the oncoming, but as I get next to the rear bumper, dumb drunk yuppie ***** throws the door open and swings her legs out. No time to reach brakes or skid, so her legs took the full force of me and the bike. Pretty sure her left shin is broken, taxi door is trashed, knocked my wheel out of true, banged me up a little bit. Cop said 100% of the fault is split between the cabby for making an illegal stop (supposed to pull to the side of the road) and the chick for exiting into oncoming traffic when there's a sign on the door that clearly says "exit curb side only".
That was really just how yesterday went. It sucked a ton. Today will be better.

Had a guy on a thruster wave at me and say "I ride a fixie too!" at a stoplight. I swear for just one moment I considered taking out the pedal wrench, clubbing him like a seal then scalping him. Not kill him, mind you, just maim. Instead I said " did you get the four piece or eight with that?" He looked confused so I won.

Put my fixie together... This project has been somewhat of a joke for me the entire time, just making it as stupid as possible (48/22 gear, lime green deep V's, origin8 all over the place, risers, brakeless, etc...), but when I got the cranks and wheels on, I realized that I had actually fallen in love. I don't have a camera but I'll try to get a picture when I can. It's so much fun to ride.
ALSO I'll be ordering one of these guys as soon as my tax return comes in. My broken frame has been a great excuse for me to focus on partying, but it will be nice to start training again.

i'm not happy about the accident or the woman's pain, but i am happy that "maybbe that'll learn her" and the cabby when he has to pay 50% hers and your damages.
