I've been so tempted on getting the arctic camo tape for my cross bike, let me know how the quality is.

Not sure where Mumokan got his, but I bought this last year and found it to be pretty decent. It wrapped well, and has held up over time, although its on a bike I don't ride all that often.

Amazon.com : Serfas Echelon Bar Tape, Camo/Green : Bike Handlebar Tape : Sports & Outdoors

It's the Soma Thick&Zesty which has a ribbed texture and lasts quite a while. I have used it on multiple bikes as some have teased me about.

the green tape i got was this exact one, because for some reason the thick & zesty in green camo is impossible to find.
brown is the zesty ribbed variety also from amazon

@SpeshulEd & @hairnet, do either of these tapes have that pillowy fat feeling?

I find it to be fairly firm and comes long enough to wrap to the desires thickness.

I would say no pillowy fat feeling. I was actually really pleased with it.

I'm also a big fan of the supacaz tape, but it's ridiculously overpriced, but it has a great texture and wraps well.

excellent news!

im thinking about the red/black supacaz tape for my trek and youre right it is expensive, comes with snazzy barplugs tho so considering those are like a ~$20 item alone the tape is probably around mash price

It's easily my favorite tape and I enjoy riding it without gloves too. I'm about to buy some more for my cinelli and ditch the caleido tape.

Seems like my cinelli would be fun with some riser bars, so why not give 'em a try.

I did, they're currently on my beater. I trimmed them down quite a bit because I felt kind of silly with such wide bars. I dig 'em, but like the looks of the ones with a bit more rise to them, so we'll see how the cinelli's work out.

Of course, based on this recent MashSF instagram post, it seems that wide bars are the new rage:

Those are actually some pretty nice bars... I thought the stock width was pretty great for the time that I used them. A brake also fits nicely on the middle part , if you're into that kind of thing.

i trimmed mine to the "max" mark also, they are technically mtb bars anyway, which are typically enormous for leverage purposes

makes steering super twitchy on a track bike tho especially when youre backpedaling or doing other hooliganism

ive wanted those pepper risers for a while i just dont have a bike i wanna put them on, maybe when i rebuild the leader itl be a little hooligan bike with risers

I went a bit past the max mark, they just seemed so damned wide. I have the beater setup single speed. I basically just ride it to grab food or to bars and crap. I'm not doing anything crazy with them and don't ride all that hard, so figure they should be ok.

I was going to get brakes/hood/calipers/whatever the technical term is and keep my drop bars but then I said f'it, risers are fun, so what the hell. I can always swap them back later.

fwiw I have found the supa caz bar ends to blow compared to other fancy bar ends like nitto. you have to be very careful with them or else they are one time use only. The tape is soft and wraps well and the colors are vibrant and all, but the tape does pick up a lot of dirt and grime.

and it's hella $$$'s for some tape
