I love how this seller is interpreting the "Direct Drive" sticker on the frame as shifting gears by itself. Does that mean he never used the brifters? Thank goodness Louisiana is such flat country...

Nah, they're just so crappily adjusted with bad springs that they autoshift when there's a big bump.

To be fair, its advertised as a "fix it bike".

Seller does admit that it needs some "TLC"

Nice bike with optimistic pricing

Seller says: "Like new 1983 Trek 620 Bicycle. If you're tall, into cool bikes and need a new ride - this is the bike. Completely disassembled, cleaned, put back together and ready to ride."

All that for the low, low price of $2000!

I thought I was generous at 150 for this small bianchi but seller wanted 650. I paid half for the near mint Sport Sx a few weeks ago.

Complete with self-dismantling fork and headtube, if I'm not mistaken!

I wonder if he just ran out of brake cable housing. Surely, there's a good explanation.

What's wacky is I've been considering paying $125 for this pile...

https://seattle.craigslist.org/kit/b...432468587.html

I'd have to bus/ferry 3 hours, and the other pics show a pretty nasty bike. Still, this is the best deal going in my post-covid winter hellscape.

Asking $300 but probably worth double if fixed?? Selected text from the ad:

This bike has been in storage for years/decades unused. Structurally sound visually, frame in very good vintage condition visually, except the forks are bent back. Chain works but is rusty. Other mostly cosmetic wear such as minor scrapes, rust, etc. Brakes work but front needs to be tightened/adjusted to make contact. Tires appear to be the original with heavy wear from age and will need to be replaced. Gears don't appear to change so will need some adjustment/fix.

Serial number BH073025 indicates genuine Chicago Schwinn from February 1972.
These Continental's sell for double the price when fully intact and functional. Highly collectible. Marked down because of the aforementioned.
$300 or best offer. Cash only.

I like the 600 Trek that the seller has, he flips a lot of bikes probably has 30 adds currently posted. His bikes are not cleaned, Here is the 600 Trek

https://seattle.craigslist.org/kit/b...444338186.html

The pictures don't do much justice for the product.

Surfer Rosa, I could have sworn you purchased from this seller before.
