Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Talking about QR incidents, on two different occasions I've had the front wheel fall out of the drops when I dismounted and hoisted the bike slightly to park it. Luckily it didn't happen while riding. Actually both times it occured after I had already that day left the bike parked at a public rack, so I'm not sure if I was a victim of my own inattention or a prankster.

To tell the truth, I didn't even think about her once I got up, I was to busy checking out my bike and all my new scars to care about a 6' tall, drop dead gorgeous asian girl. On the return trip (yeah, I was able to keep riding) we saw her from far off and I was afraid to even glance in her direction as we passed her.
