The song "♫ Popcicle Toes" comes to mind, that's what they feel like. 18° 9AM to start the ride, 24° to finish at 11:30. But like yesterday it was sunny with little or no wind. 21.2 miles (34.1k) and a frozen grin on my face (which was covered with a balaclava).

What started off as a slow ride with the wife ended up a slow 30 mile ride with two of my riding buddies.

Grey and off-and-on wet today but in the 60's on the day after Christmas! Got out for an intermittently sprinkly 7-mile ride and finished a half hour before it started raining cats and rats.

29 miles this morning breaking in Shimano PD-M530 pedals, Giro Junction shoes, new jersey and shorts and cat ear wind deflectors. The cat ears don't block all wind noise but a substantial amount. Definitely recommend them for anyone who suffers from tinnitus. They also greatly improve hearing traffic coming up from behind.

Roller ride count? Did 24 miles on Krietler rollers

Up here in Milwaukee Wisconsin with a foot of snow on the ground ( yesterday, big melt today ).
Trying to get 100 miles a week on the rollers, doing pretty well.

Hope to be in shape for rando rides next season - Super Randonneur anyone?

Oh, just turned 65 in November.

Intended to take today off after Sunday's ride, but had unusually sore legs. Decided to try to the get up and ride again therapy. Seemed to work. 21 miles of loaf cycling, 12 mph, mostly flat, stopped to snap a few photos. Very pleasant 70F springtime in December day.

Still cold (21° - winter does that) but started out sunny. 17.6 miles (28.3k) with two lined jerseys underneath the bike jacket. Two pairs of wool socks and my toes still froze.

Since it's an unbelievable 67° here in Richmond, Virginia, I got out my old classic '85 Fuji Del Rey and went for a ride. I ended up riding 17.30 miles in 1 hr 4 min for an avg of 16.2 mph...
Man, it felt great to be out riding - even though these temps won't last and we'll be back in the 20's or 30's at night and 30's or 40's by day.

Thank you. We did sort of have a white Christmas. It snowed some a few days before but then it warmed and froze and rained and did lots of other things too, probably not in that order. They are predicting slush for tomorrow thought tomorrow night. Yuck.

Listened to the weatherman and followed my Weather Channel app and both said chilly morning with moderate winds. Both were wrong! I should have gone outside before getting dressed. It felt like summer and I was overdressed and overheated. Ended up with a one lap, 25 mile ride.

Great ride going until I dumped it this morning. Had my bell wrung a bit but the bike came out OK!!!! Thankfully I didn't land on my new bionic shoulder so all is still in place. Was shooting for another 70 but only made 30 miles. Resting until Saturday's ride.......hopefully.

This whole week has been cold but sunny. 20.4 miles (32.8k), extra cleaning on the bike, rode through some street construction. They always leave a mess (well, they're road builders, not cyclists).

People who read books live an average of almost 2 years longer than those who do not read at all, a Yale research found.
(This is what you get with an expensive college education).

Another summer like day for a 48 mile ride. Wind turned out to be a killer toward the end of the ride. Tomorrow morning's forecast is calling for temps in the mid to upper 40s. It should last through Saturday and then Sunday it turns hot again. Love this weather but it's kind of hard to figure out what to wear so you don't over/under dress.
