Quite often on longer rides I'll stop for a beer and lunch. For many of the local riders a stop at one of the small rural bars is a certainty. They don't call 'em biker bars for nothing.

Drinking a beer while riding takes a little extra coordination, but should be within the capabilities of most road cyclists.

Oh, as far as effects, heart rate may increase and you need to offset with more hydration, but one beer doesn't do much to me other than taste good.

Beer slows me down but also makes it so I don't care...

When we toured the Czech Republic, I always had 1/2 liter with lunch. I could feel it for about 1/2 hour, then it was gone. Made me a little slower, everything seemed harder, not really a nice feeling. But it was carbs and hydration and cheaper than water and also the tradition. Also it tasted good.

32oz mid-ride would be a little excessive for me. I'd rather do a pint mid-ride and a pint recovery.

Whenever I've mixed physical activity and beer I haven't felt great. Not terrible, but a tiny bit on the verge of dehydration maybe. If I'm on the beer I'll save it until physical activity is over.
I have done yoga after a couple whiskies. That was interesting. But it's just as good sober.

I stopped drinking within 24 hours of riding, which means no beer at all except Saturdays and Friday evenings. I don't like feeling nauseous on my hard days, and sleep better without it so I'm naturally up before sunrise for my early easy rides.
I also cut back on carbs for fat adaptation so I can ride farther and faster eating real meals when I'm done, so I'm down to less than one beer a month.

No. But if you do buy a microbrew with a fancy marketing label on the bottle so you'll feel hip and sophisticated. Get one that has a bicycle on it so you'll really be hip.

The minute they make CF growler cages I'm putting one on my bike. Why stop for 32oz when you can bring 64oz with you? Just not messing up my bike with a metal cage. That's sacrilege.

I find one beer doesn't seem to have any real effects on my ride. i do notice two mind you, but even that's not a big deal (except for the need to pee before long).
