Liked for the "no rainbows.". We need a grumpy one every so often.

Here's mine, 15 mile ride, I got rained on about half way out. No lightning, here in sunny SoCal.

Next mission: How about your bike in front of a fruit, vegetable, or produce stand ?

That’s perfect. That dark line squall in the picture certainly has rain in it. Sometimes you can get lucky and outrun it, other times you are just doomed to get wet. Exciting and even fun. Thanks.

Dark clouds pretty much everywhere these days it seems. Actually we got over 4 inches of rain in less than a week, which us a lot for a place that only gets 12" or so a year.

Need for clarification--does the stand have to be open for business? Lots of closed ones around me because the season hasn't started yet.

Open would be nice, but, depending on location, and CV closures, anything closed or open will have to do.

Wilson Farms. Before the mid 90s it looked more like a farm stand, but it still is, just very big.

I got to say hi to Julia Childs while she was shopping.

I rode by there yesterday! No carrying capacity on my Allez or I would have stopped. I love that place.

No cooking demos for the duration there, I assume.

Looks more like a greenhouse to me, but if you say it's a fruit stand, so be it. Maybe we need a ruling from the OP Commissioner, or is that you ? I forgot. Here's the fruit stand I'm used to seeing. We went there Sunday, but it was raining, and I didn't have my bike. Unlike our grocery stores, no lines, plenty of product, but no TP.
Next mission?

I know the place. The building behind the greenhouse is a gigantic fruit stand. Interior shot:

Wow, now That's a fruit stand.

We're pretty much on lockdown in SoCal, so I guess I'll just be a spectator for awhile. Stay healthy, everyone!

Next mission:

Next mission:
Next mission: In honor of those us who are locked down, or who have chosen to lock down, or who are still able to escape out into the world for a few brief moments but are worried about locking down.

Picture of your bike with something that makes YOU happy right now. You have to ride at least 10K to get there and back. For this mission, because what a difference a week made, that includes riding without going anywhere. So your trainer or your bike on a trainer is just completely fine. Whatever floats your boat (bike forums safe).

I went to Wilson Farms for a beautiful cabbage. It makes me happy that I can still do that.

p.s. My spouse doesn’t like soda bread, so I’ve now got a rye sourdough proofing overnight. It smells like orange licorice whisky right now. Which is nice.

I'm not sure if the above video satisfied the mission. Regardless, it is a good mission for the present time and should remain in place.

Since the video is oldish, no. We’ll leave it open for now to let folks who are facing “interesting” times to nab.

p.s. Smells even better coming out of the oven.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE STAY SAFE and follow local and state recommendations. (Left unsaid will get me in trouble.)

'Nuff said. 28 km ridden.

From what I can tell on the news, a lot of us are still allowed to free roam alone, and we don't present any significant risk so long as we avoid other people. (I may have to change my habits since 95% of my riding is to a destination; I'm going to have to learn to ride just to ride.]

Let's keep in mind all the logistics that we depend on. I suspect most of us don't have a cow, chickens and a cellar stocked with pickled corn. Let's honor that army that is keeping us fed. (It is a long chain and I can see a possible theme developing...)

Next Mission: Your bike with a grocery delivery truck/van. Please obey any current local directives and stay away from other people!

Nice job on the truck. Nice Peugeot too! I don't remember ever seeing a permanent latitude - longitude sign.
