This is a great idea for a thread. And I agree with RobbieTunes, there is only one course of action.

France is the United States first and oldest friend. As Robbie said, "they have a maddening way about them, at times", but friends stand together no matter what.

Agreed Robbie. I will refrain from saying what I believe should and will happen for the sake of politeness but I believe the French will act accordingly.

Friends,
We're getting awfully close to derailing with politics a thread that was meant to express "solidarity and friendship."

Our colors flying at half staff over French land at the Oise Aine U.S. ABMC Cemetery on Memorial Day 2014. My heart goes out to my French friends.

Indeed Robbie, Kactus and greg - not much more to be said here.

Such an an abhorrent waste. Thoughts to those affected; hopefully that's all of us.

There's nothing political about suicide bombers, IMO. Politics is something that reasonable people can discuss.

I differentiate between "reasonable people" and those that are not.

We should not forget Lebanon. France's suffering is real, but pales in comparison.

What I'd give to be able to ride a bike through the countryside of Lebanon. Wonderful people.
