I think I will go for the last frame I found. It's all modern and will out last me (cough cough) It will take me a few months to gather all the stuff up but I have nothing but time.
No, my wheels are QR and I would have to get thru hubs and have them laced on my aluminum 700c's , I don't know if that is cost effective or not.

You'll see why every build ends up costing a lot more than you think. One thing leads to another which leads to another which leads to another...
Even bringing my late 80s Cannondale a little up to date has ended up costing $200 and I'm only changing the brakes.

After some back and forth I was able to get the frame for $350 shipped. I'll post a pic when it gets here probably Fri or Sat. I'm looking for wheels and they are asking me CX 3 or 791/792, what is that?

I think they are the hubs. Super team CX3, Novatec 791/792.

I know that it is the hubs I just don't want to buy unless I know what the heck they are for. I can't find diddly on the web.

I don’t understand the question. I don’t know who is asking or why those are your choices. It appears one uses Shimano Centerlock rotors and the other 6 bolt.
As a swag, are you buying wheels for your frame and those are the rotor interface choices in the price range you want?

I am looking to buy some wheels, the hub choices are CX3 or 791/792. I do not know what those two terms mean and would rather not pursue the purchase until I do. The choices listed are Hub size, hub system, hubs which are 791-792hub or CX3hub, depth and rim type. I have everything but I do not know which one to choose for a road bike.

791/792 are Novatec model numbers for 11spd MTB hubs; OLD 100/135. You can go the the Novatec website and check out the different options for QR or thru axle.
Superteam looks like some importer. They appear to be sold everywhere from Ali-express, to Amazon, to Big Lots. I found a website and the only FAQ was about custom decals on the rims; scary stuff. I guess part number CX3 is a cyclocross CX hub (?) and 3 because... well I’m not sure. Maybe 1 and 2 were taken.
Have you thought of contacting a place like Velomine for wheels?

Because of the Covid crisis, the flow of bikes from China has really, really been decimated. Finding inexpensive bikes or frames, etc. is hard. You may want to find a used bike that's close to what you want, then gradually swap out stuff til you have what you want.

Mucho tnx, I think that when my frame gets here on Monday that I will get out my digital calipers and make a bunch of measurements around the frame so I don't make any mistakes when I order stuff.

The bottom bracket for this bike is a BB386, are these a press fit or threaded fit? I see Wheels Manuf. makes an EVO BB386 is this a good choice?

Naturally it takes a special install tool, I guess I will take it to the bike shop for the install no sense getting a specialized tool I will only use once.

O.K. I picked up a shimano 510 and a Wheels 396evoBB, I am now looking out for a 11 speed casette. Only going to be a road bike, what kind of tooth spread should I be looking for?

Your choices are 11/12 to 25, 28, 30. I guess the crank is 50/34.
It is up to your legs and how hard you push to keep a certain pace. Close gapping is all about optimizing.
Personally it would drive me crazy to shift 1t/2t gaps over 11 speeds.

Yes 50/34. so the other alternative was 3 disk crank and 6/8 speed casette, I see no difference. You shift your butt off on either one.

If I’m running on pretty level terrain, I’d probably run a 46/34 crank with an 11-30 cassette and set the crank for the best chainline I could for with the 46 and run it all day long. The 34 would be there for looks or if I had to do any climbing.
Honestly for me, it would be a 44/34 as pushing more than 4:1 on the flats is something I can’t do for any duration anymore. But give me a 7% downhill or 25mph tailwind and I can play the role of poser as well as the next guy.
I’m sure you will get those who will say the shifting will suffer because the rings aren’t matched for 46/34, but you’re riding a friggin’ 70’s bike with flat chainrings. You’re not some moron who doesn’t know how to shift. Heck, my wife could shift flat Sugino rings with a brifter.
