I'm glad that I don't have Goodyear tires on either of my cars.

Michelin’s bicycle tires aren’t nearly as good as Pirelli’s or Continental’s. That is another case of rebranded Asian tires. The only Asian tires in the top-tier are Panaracer. Which is part of Panasonic and made in Japan.
Pirelli - made in France
Continental - made in Germany
Panaracer - made in Japan
Veloflex - handmade in Italy
Pick from those four.

It is not a question of snob appeal, just the facts.

Funny, but the Goodyear tires I have on my convertible, are the quietest tires I have ever used. Quiet is important in a convertible. Good tires too!

Not a fact, but a bias. Not a very informed one either.

you're better off with established brands in the cycling community....
Not necessarily. Some new things are better than other offerings. Not buying a Goodyear tire may mean missing a great tire. The probability of that is low, I suspect, but it is possible.

Their market share of bicycle tires, made in the States, was when Schwinn was still making cruiser bikes in Chicago....
Those are made under contract in Asia , probably.. It's just Business..

I've had very good results from using heavy duty 26" Goodyear tubes on my 26" x 1.95" mountain bike wheels. Didn't know there were Goodyear branded bike tires available. If they're as good as their tubes then, they're probably OK.
