How often do you ride each week?

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Oh, and how does one ride "every day and sometimes more"? Fly over the International Date Line, ride, fly home, ride again?

I'd like to ride more but I can't. 2-3 times a week is it for me. If it's twice a week, it's mostly 30-40 easy miles. If it's 3 times a week, it's at least one distance ride of about 3 hours.

Sometimes depends on how long the ride it. Get in a good 70-100 miler, might ride four times. Rarely do I ride more than 5 times. Wife insists on two recreational days doing something else.

I get 6 training rides each week, but I go on a LOT of easy rides with my kids (2.5 and 4 y/old).

Sundays only - my trip to church, but I make it longer by finding country roads and 'necessary' erands to run. I wish I could bike everyday, but there is always work to be done, bills to pay, kids to be with, wife asking for attention -

6 days a week, 100 miles a week min. Sometimes I do "double days" ride in the morning, then with the wife and child trailer in the afternoon.

Interesting dip in the chart for 4 days. The Bi-modal distribution suggests 2 populations: probably one married with a family and the other without.

I used to fret over missing a day but no more. I realized that fretting over not riding was an indication that i was too fixated on cycling. It's nice to take a day off now and then. In fact I now take at least one and sometimes two days off per week now. I think I am happier now with my riding then I was when i thought i had to ride every day.
