Cleaning out the garage to get ready to move into the new house we bought and thought I take a couple pics.
Blue bike is my fun bike and the raw aluminum is going to be my to and from work bike.

Recently? I was puked on there - but that was many years ago when our beach strip was nuts. Its the last of its kind now. Still fun and my favorite hangout, but much...uhhh...calmer(?) than back in the day. But maybe its better that way, considering...

Last year. I'm 99% sure it was pee. I made the mistake of using the bathroom. There was a foul liquid dripping on my head from the floor above.

My wife, who is usually very picky, uses the women's a lot and has never complained about it to me. Wonder what's up with that?

Despite living the first ~25 years of my life in Broward County, I have never been to the Elbo Room, and I'm okay with that.

Yeah, because going to a bar where you get puked on, peed on and where unknown liquids drip on your head sounds like so much fun.
I'm going to put this on my bucket list.
Maybe I can schedule a double root canal and colonoscopy while I'm in Florida too.

New frame day! Also the rest of my parts finally got a nice bath after a wet and salty winter. (Btw, sorry for the bad lighting and funky carpet, the only semi-blank wall I had to take pictures against at short notice was my apartment building's hallway.)
Now the only things left of the bike I started with are the bars and the ****ty brake lever. Those are next on the chopping block

what frame is this? You don't mind what that seat rail chain is going to do to your paint?
What are you going to run for spring season tires?
cool bike

this is my kind of build. When you switch out the brake lever, are you going to go to a regular lever in the drops or stick with the interrupter lever on the tops?

To answer your questions:
For the brake lever I'm considering a cane creek scr-5 because it will match my dummy hood that Ill keep on the right side. They're discontinued though so Ill have to find one on ebay. I may or may not do a cross lever in addition to that. Can't decide if that'd be overkill. I do also kinda like the dummy hood setup I've got going now so I may keep it simple and just get a better bmx lever.
The frame is a wabi special in their new 2019 color (moss) with a wound up gravel x fork. And no, I'm not overly concerned about the paint. Chips and scratches happen and I dont like stressing out about it. That said, Ill eventually put some heat shrink or something around the part of the chain that rubs on the frame (mainly to dampen the noise).
For spring tires Ill probably start the season with the 25c kendas that I was using last fall for the time being. By summer, I'm thinking 28c continental grand prixs with the reflective sidewall (I noticed similar ones on the build you just posted, nice. for safety) or maybe gum walls of some sort.
