I ask that you reconsider and stay with us! Striving to overcome battle plan problems is part of why we've joined this thread. I say recalibrate your start date to today and change up your tactics a bit. I tried a multitude of different techniques to quit smoking before I found what worked best for me. It took all those trials to learn what was helpful in each round of the fight. I believe weight management is similar. You need to find the right tactic for any given situation that works for you.

I am asking that you stay with this. I do not belive this battle is won in a day month or even a year. It is a life long battle and lifestyle changes. I am asking you to help me stay on track. Of course we will all help you stay the path also.

Don't give up. Never give up. It doesn't matter if nothing seems to be working. Keep going. Log your food, learn what your body responds to, and make small changes. It may take years but no matter. You CAN do this — it's just really, really hard. And no one here will look down on you if your weight moves in the wrong direction. Been there, done that, many times. We all have. Today is a new day and what happened in the past means nothing except as a learning tool.

Finally, I've gotten some movement in the right direction (after starting the month going up in weight):

2/6: 268.3
2/21: 266.7
Goal for month: 264.0

Had to take a little out of town trip and decided to make it a two night stay. So I did not get into the doctors office this week to check the blood pressure, weight and blood sugar. One thing is for sure we do not eat right when we travel.
2/1/16 311.1 pounds
2/6/16 306.8 pounds
2/13/16 305.4 pounds
2/21/16 298.4 pounds
Wife is complaining that my shorts and jeans, time to go to the closet and see what I have that will fit. Like I have said before I have no goals other then to loose and eat better. Exercise more. I think that will lead to the end results, I know how to take it off faster but it never stays off. THis time I will do it thru life changes. Everyone have a great week, hopefully we can get outside and ride.

Just curious: how low did/do you have to go in carbs to hit ketosis?

I'm glad you are continuing with us!

As an FYI, I watched "My Diet Plan is Better than Yours" on Hulu+ (I believe it's an ABC show) and picked-up some ideas to use during my current 3 week business trip. The show features a wide variety of plans supposedly geared more to sustainable lifestyle as opposed to an in and out quick diet. Maybe there are some ideas useful to you as well?

Ended the week down a kg, but may have gained it back celebrating with some colleagues that are returning to the US tomorrow. Too bad there's not a morning after pill for the baby bump from a pizza and a couple of beers!

Traveling is the hardest, but you can do it.

I'm on schedule according to my long term graph to hit 250 by Nov 1. The monthly goal is fun but the real picture is looking good right now. Had my new rear wheel freehub lock up last Friday, and Nashbar sent me a UPS ground label so that would be a 2 week turnaround. I couldn't find a 11s compatible wheel in town so I bought a new backup bike the night before a 30 mile ride. Other than the stock seat it went okay and I was able to hit 75 miles for the week. I feared if I sat around for 2 weeks, it could turn into 3, and then 4..........Wife wasn't thrilled but she saw my point.

Weighed in at the clinic this a.m.: 259#.

The scale has slowed down, so not making this month's goal (255), but still pretty happy with the month.

I have not lost what I wanted to this month. That is ok still making progress. Ran into Drs office yesterday, blood pressure[ was told it is better then it has been in a long time] down 12 pounds lost for 3 weeks[ last time i went in]. Blood sugar is better not where I want it. So here we go:
2/1/16 311.1 pounds
2/6/16 306.8 pounds
2/13/16 305.4 pounds
2/21/16 298.4 pounds
2/28/16 295.8 pounds
I wanted to match last month not happening. As we all know the more you loose the harder it gets.
Dr said 41 pounds in 59 days is great, Ill take it! Lets get March on the way, I want more days in the saddle

Hit my halfway mark 2 days ago! Glad I bought the backup bike because I still don't know when I'll get my replacement wheelset from Nashbar so I can ride my Focus again. I would have been fattening up on the sofa!
@Fat2Cat, @billmc40 - great work! 2 more days.....
