Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

It's definitely biased towards satan worshipers in warm climes with no families, UNFAIR!!!

speaking of satan worshippers. Cox internet here is terrible. I don’t even know what I am paying for. Constantly disconnects. We don’t have many options here.

CRJ 900 have stricter cross wind limitations than the ERJ 175. The CRJ have been known to hit the ground with their wing tips. I was not in a CRJ last night or I most likely will not be home.

Sad thing for the CRJ crew. DCA is their base, and I would imagine that was their go home leg.

I came down with a head cold yesterday, and couldn't sleep. Finally had a half cup of instant at 4ish and am contemplating nixing my morning brew. It would be nice to get some more sleep. My wife will pick up some antihistamines as soon as things open up. That should do the trick

I got a $20 gift card from my local Trek store. That’s about as much as I spent there last year. Used it for a water bottle for my wife’s stocking.

Amazon delivered an office printer to my house this morning. It was sent “signature required.” The delivery notice said, “handed directly to resident.” The only thing is that it was delivered before we got up.

The “resident” was prolly a local porch pirate. That person probably just couldn’t run off with it since it weighs 65 pounds.

Update on my Mother in law and more. She was moved to a rehab facility on Tuesday. It is only 3 miles from her house and visiting hours end at 8 PM. That is good news for my wife so she gets a break.

She is working her "day job" through all of this in between taking care of her mom. Her mom is not being a good patient and making life hell for my wife. Some of that is probably the effects from her brain surgery. My wife is about to break. She heads a department of a large publicly traded company and most of the staff are taking vacation days or loafing right now. She agreed to stay on for another year before retiring and that was a mistake. They had 4 months to find a replacement last year and another 9 so far after staying on. Her replacement is still nowhere to be found. She won't be staying after March 31.

None of her Mom's kids live anywhere near her in Phoenix. Indianapolis, Denver and Atlanta - I scratched my head on that one back in 2000 when they retired. Her dad passed in 2020.

I offered to push my fusion surgery back to help take pressure off her but I don't think it will help and she said she wanted me to get it done. In the midst of all this she has to get her mother moved to NW METRO ATLANTA and help with my recovery beginning in February.

Meanwhile me and Roscoe are hanging out passing the time watching YouTube videos.

Whoever said when life gives you lemons make lemonade needs a punch in the nads. I'm pretty sure it wasn't Abraham Lincoln.
