I've noticed an issue with posting links with secure http. In some cases, when you post a link to another site using "https" the text of the link doesn't show up in the final post (it can only be seen when composing a quoted response.) Using unsecured "http" works, but my preference is to use secure http whenever possible.
For reference, the link was to a video of a bike race posted on Facebook. Thanks.

I just noticed: display of thread start dates has been restored. It's a small thing but I find it helps. (And I hope I'm posting this in the right thread.) Thanks.

I've noticed this happening for quite some time. I tried to report it in the past, but nothing ever happened.
BikeForums is unique in that it gives thread titles, but not always titles of other parts of the site, and seems to do the titles dynamically, while other sites embed them in TITLE

Ahhh, found one. UCLA...
UCLA
Hmmm... University of Florida also comes in with basic HTML
University of Florida
So, the system should automatically snag the titles from the HTML sites.
Now, any https website (which is most of them) will not automatically parse the titles, and one simply gets a link.UCLA

@IBanna,
Indenting Lets start with UCLA
I vaguely think I've seen similar things happening with quotes, and learned to avoid it.
https://www.google.com
I wonder if the new auto-formatting that is now happening is making the issue worse.
OH, one other note. In the past, I've had issues with hyperlinks on cell phones not being parsed as hyperlinks.
Edit:
Works sometimes, not others... but it does seem to be related to functions like "indent"

And between indentsUCLA

Between indents again.Odd... Ok, so lines that began with "
https://www.google.com" didn't even parse the hyperlinks.https://www.bikeforums.net/

Hi Clifford, Anna is no longer working here, but I can help you out. My understanding of the issue is that some links parse and some don't, while adding formatting means that parsing doesn't work at all?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bicycle
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bicycle
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bicycle
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bicycle
Two issues.
- With HTTP: titles are automatically populated to links. It is a nice feature that has never worked properly with HTTPS:
- I noted that in certain cases that URLs are not being picked as a hyperlinks, Perhaps more research, but I think it has to do with following bracket commands... at least sometime. Yesterday was the first time I thought much about that issue.

As far as I know,
All websites with "HTTPS://" do not create the parsed link (only exception is bikeforum threads).
Most websites with "HTTP://" do create a parsed link.
One other exception is that there are some "news" websites that put a hyperlink into the title, so if one copies and pastes the title, one gets the hyperlink. Only a few sites seem to do this at this time.
