What happened to all the 'attached' images?

All of the attached images from the little thumbnails box seem to have disappeared...??
This is from previous posts.

I have removed all attachments from the database for now. Dozens of the reccords appear to be corupt, causing issues accross the whole site.

I have copys of all the files, I will restore them as soon as I know its safe to do so.

So none of the photos will be lost?

I cant say that for sure. I sure hope not, but so far, I have only been able to recover photos attached before Sept of 2002. Everything after that is a big mess.

I have it up and running, it is fast as hell, should hold 3000 users just fine. I have a copy of the database taken around 1am last night on the new server. Sadly, there are dozens, if not hundreds of corupt records in the copy of the database that need to be fixed before I can open up that server.

I honestly have no idea how long this will take, I have had multiple support techs look at it, and even a few forum members who offered help. Right now, the only way I can get the site to run stable, is to remove all attachments, I hope thats not a long term solution, but it works great as a temp solution.

Can we go back to some of our recent posts and re-attach them or would that create a problem?

Any update on this? Are the old attachments going to be restored?

Joe will make an announcement when the glitches in the new server are ironed out and he's moved the forums onto the new server. Until then, hang tight.
