I've been riding my old Cannondale CAAD 4 since 1999....my only bike in all that time. Finally got my dream bike today, a BMC Teammachine SLR2 01 Disc. What am I going to do with all these bikes?
I only had 2 things I wanted in my new bike: disc brakes and Di2. I love this bike, how it rides, and how clean the design and integration is.
Here it is today in the fitting contraption (you can see my old bike in the back right):

Now, it only needs to warm up so I can ride!

My Road Bikes
1978 Guerciotti, Campy SR minor customizing for fit
1986 Schwinn Paramount DA 7400
1989 Schwinn Paramount Campy mix "Frankenbike
1984 Specialized Sequoia minor customizing for fit

1985 Schwinn Le Tour Luxe Shimano drive train in the works.
1987 Schwinn Le Tour "The Beater"

The three Frankenbikes were built from used frames and an assortment of new/used parts from various sources. The 1986 Paramount was built from a retail purchased frame fall of '87 and built up spring '88. The Guerciotti, Sequoia, and both Le Tours were purchased as complete bikes and so far have only seen minor customization, handlebars, pedals, saddles, tires.
In the next couple weeks the Le Tour Luxe will be receiving something of a modernization with Ultegra 6500 hubs, Sun CR18 rims, XT 730 crankset, and 9spd Microshift Barend Shifters. Also Velo Orange metal fenders.

Bikes: 2008 Paketa Magnesium Frame MTB, 2012 Specialized Sirrus Hybrid, 2010 Wilier Triestina Izoard Ultegra
So my local shop is a consignment retailer also selling new Jamis and Salsa bikes. For Christmas I picked up a used 2010 Wilier Izoard Ultegra and it's been great.
The n+1 bug hit me hard this week when I wandered in. They have a couple overstock 2012 Jamis Quest steel frame/carbon fork 3x10 bikes still in the box. I just couldn't stop myself from asking if they would assemble one for me to check out. Went in today to test ride it as I am new to cycling and have never been on steel.
Welp, for $656 plus tax and freshly assembled and tuned, I brought it home.

The new commuter
My new commuter. Spray paint and stickers. Set it up this weekend and stuffed some 700x28 gatorskin hard shells on it. BikesDirect Dawes 2300, aluminum frame, carbon fork, tiagra shifters and FD, 105 RD. Weighs 24 lbs with the old man seat and rack (no bags). Heavy by road bike standards but came to my door for $250 and I plan for it to take a beating. I’m very pleased with my purchase.

let me bring the average cost of bikes on this thread down with my simple decathlon purchased btwin. have had it for about 5 days or so ridden it 4 out of those 5 days. been enjoying it so far and maybe in a year or so i'll upgrade to something better but so far this meets my needs.

Bikes: 2019 TREK Emonda SL5 and Madone SLR 6
one of 2 Treks, Trek Emonda SL5
couldn't pass up the deal, also i needed a climbing bike, the other bike is a Madone 9.0
this one comes with 105 all around (which coming from Dura Ace i think the 105 is better, for the price and performance, i am really surprised on how much better 105 is now!)

The Mad-One...
And here is my other girl, the Mad one, The madonna...Madone. I wanted this bike since it came out, got a chance to get it a year ago. Great for the flats, bigger crank than on my Emonda, this one is all Dura Ace.

Thank you. Friday Evening i was involved in a car accident. Kid ran a red light, hit my car (TBone) with my kids and wife in the car...we walked away, but we are hurting pretty bad. I am afraid i won't be riding them for a while. I guess i'll look for upgrades in the meantime.
