Mystery bike, not a Guerciotti.
A musician friend has glaucoma and lost his sight completely in one eye and the second is also failing. An avid cyclist all his life, he was riding his bike out on the vast ****lands surrounding our town as recently as this summer. Now he's giving it up and passing bikes and parts on to others.
So it's maybe Japanese, has average lugs at the front, an abominable seat cluster, Shimano drops and a serial number that may indicate a Mika bike from 1980, depending on whether it's letter O's or number zero's. It came with an AX crankset and headset dated 1981.
If you were going to fake an Italian marque, would you add a Dutch bike shop sticker? Or an 022 decal? With Shimano BB and headset, the f&f weighs in about 3400 grams. Not a lightweight.
Or did Guerciotti actually farm out some bottom dwellers? Insights are appreciated. Sorry for pic size. Serial number A006409 Album pics here.

Bikes: Yes, please.
The frame and the shop sticker both look very much Belgian to me. Mid-range frame. My guess would be it came from one of the bigger manufacturers. Superia maybe? I seem to remember they used "022" tubing.
EDIT: I'm fairly confident that it is a Superia Apollo Superstar. Came standard with Shimano 600.

More specifically it's a Superia Gemini AX. Of course I sold my Concor Profil white saddle a year ago. Nice to know.
My frame has one set of bottle cage bosses and a chrome fork but close enough.

81-82 catalogue coutesy of CR
