Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

also really like the sound of a Ducati
After 16 yrs on a BMW R100S and 26 yrs on 6 different Ducatis I now ride a Triumph Street Triple. IMO there is nothing like the sound and power delivery of a Ducati.

A brief follow-up to my previous comment.....I have found myself in the position of being unable to ride since last April. I discovered that I had an inguinal hernia and had surgery on June 4th 2025. That and a resurgence of an L5 issue has me off the bike. I am healing well but I am off the bike and doing only stretching and minor weight bearing exercises at the gym.Fortunately I have a car I love (Fiesta ST) that entertains me and I've gotten back on my Triumph Street Triple to go to the gym and do errands. Hoping to start cycling soon. At age 79 I'm more thankful than ever for the things I can still do.
