Bikes: Trek 1100, Raleigh R-500, Cannondale R800, Roadmaster gravel/beater mountain bike

Is that due to tariffs? I'm glad my 20+ year old bikes are in good shape.

Someone should tell Canyon they're supposed to take care of the tariffs.

I think the cycling industry as a whole will be in a pickle in the not so distant future. Everything was already overpriced thanks to COVID, and now it's going to get worse.

That seems to be pretty much the market price for Cues equipped bike and from what I can see Canyon is a bit lower than others

similar bike with cues Salsa Journey is $1700 at REI

the canyon CF Endurace with 105 is $2700 compared to specialized Roubaix sl8 with Tiagra at $2800

Reality check is when your are a C&V guy and actually add up the cost of your most recent build

did that on my de rosa build, and even not counting expensive bits like stem/post/bars from my stash the number surprised me

easy to deal with, will not add up future builds

My issue isn't with the price of the bike,,,its with the comparison to buying in Euros or Britisn pounds compared to US Dollars,,,I have never seen anything close to this before

got it
Looking at rates, the $1499 reflects more that just straight exchange rate differences tariffs, shipping ????

today pound = $1.34 euro = $1.16

for fun

pound is low compared to historical rates looks like about 2007 was an inflection point dotcom bust maybe

Euro is fairly strong compared to history

When I was in Britiain in the early 90's, I'd have loved to see a $1.34 pound. I think back then it was around $2.50.

Someone could tell them, but tariffs are not their problem.

You mean they're NOT going to pay the tariffs and make y'all rich?
