I'll be attending this one. Haven't decided if I'm up for > 8,000' of climbing in the 111 mile route or not. Longest I've done prior to this was a 65 mile gravel ride a couple years ago.

What's cool about this ride is that they reserve the whole bible camp for riders, and you can either rent a whole cabin for 8 people or just rent a bunk in one. For two nights, a bunk in a "deluxe" cabin is $30; quite reasonable. Or $15 for a bunk in the cheaper cabin.
It's unsupported, so it would be nice to have a wingman. Anyone else going and be willing to have each others' back in case of emergency? I'll probably ride at around 13-14 mph average, but we don't even need to ride together to have each other's back. I'm running tubeless 45s and have a Dynaplugger and TPU spare. Might bring a butyl spare too.

Sharing some pix from the event. Conditions were not great, but at least it didn't rain.
Starting temp was 32 °F. High temp was 48 °F.
Winds varied at 15-25 mph, and I climbed 10,400', so it was a tough 114 miles for me.

A local coffee shop was offering free espresso shots to Dairy Roubaix riders about 85 miles into the 112 mile route. I also had a homemade granola bar.

More beer and a fire after the ride

Here was a nice little single track next to a stream. Too bad it was a wrong turn!

They decided to build the road around this rock, instead of through. Bike for scale.

But it quickly turned to this. gravel roads going steeply (6-9%) up into the trees.

A local brewery provided a mini-keg for us the night before the ride. I left them a fiver and had about 5 beers."]https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikeforums.net-vbulletin/2000x1504/doyoulikebeer_f8136513eed9970e24908c8724cbe9afbf7af2e1.jpg[/img]

SW WI is a beautiful place. I spent a summer in LaCrosse for a CPE residency and the beauty of the Mississippi River is unforgettable. Thanks for the pics!

One little adventure to share:
I had charged my trust Garmin Edge 130 Plus for the ride, however, its battery died at about Mile 90. "No problem," thought I. "I'll just finish with my phone." I dug my phone out, only to find that it had discharged itself down to 15% looking for service. I forgot to put it in Airplane Mode. Wanting to save the rest of the charge for possible emergencies, I turned to my watch, on which I had luckily uploaded the medium course, which finished the same as the long course. I was able to finish with my Garmin Instinct 2 watch. The only downside, is that I didn't get credit for a proper century ride and Strava doesn't know it was one ride. Bummer, as I don't do epic rides like this too often.
