Reflective but not neccesarily Dayglo. I hate looking like a polis! people keep asking for directions.
(The RNLI considered changing the livery of their boats to hi vis yellow but there was no discernable difference.) It also fades and ages really quick. Motorists also start to expect cyclists to be Hi vis.

Having said that
I have just bought an ex police cycling jacket for the front pockets. Obviously with POLICE markings removed! It still looks a bit official though. Might be kept for really bad weather.

Bikes: A great one!

Please do not try to do too much with the gadgetry. No lights in the clothing, no heating. I will get my lights from the lighting specialists. From you I need something that is durable, waterproof but breathable, and looks good. It must be very difficult to do this, because I can barely find cycling gear I would actually wear.

Hmm...this thread's almost a year old and the OP hasn't posted here since April Fool's day last year...Anyone know of any cycling clothes created specifically for commuters?

Wow, that guy looks like a Power Ranger...

btw, i would have suggested using fiber optics woven into the fabric rather than LED's. That way you can remove the power and lighting unit at the same time before washing. Plus, you won't loose a string of lights if one wire gets damaged.

Just my .02 on an ancient thread

I wanted to try but failed to get the picture from the front. He had almost every safety feature except a helmet. (naughty boy) Please note the ski goggles.
