Bikes: specialized hardrock pro 2003
Hello,
I want a quality bike that doesnt brake a lot ( a.k.a a single speed )
I want to use it as a commuter, how ever i have a problem. I am a fool for disc brakes, i need discs on the bike to even consider it. So if anyone could show me a single speed bike with a disc brake such as (but not limited to ) the specialized p1 2003 at a decent price ( meaning 250 max w/shipping ). It does not have to be the same quality as the p1 but not a beater. ( hard to get a beater with discs
)
@ to p1

Thanks

here you go:
azonic steelhead
https://blueskycycling.com/view_product.php?pid=807
but it all depends, the p1 and the example in the link above are more
in the catagory of dirt jump frames. if its a commuter that you're looking
for, then maybe something from iro or soma is more the answer...

Is it just me, or do those Bianchis (the GUSS in paticular) just look like ugly geared bikes? Isn't the whole point of an SS bike to just shut up and ride? Kinda hard to do that when you have brakes to calibrate every 30 minutes.

fine, throw the disc brake suggestion out the window.
new list of requirements
1) single speed ( obvisouly )
2) rigid fork
3) around 250
thanks for bearing with me

@asterisk
did you say that disc brakes have to be calibrated every 30minutes? Its actually quite opposite, they almost never have to be calibrated.

Are you going to be commuting on one of those? That geometry and gearing is really set up for dirt and big jumps. Commuting would suck (well at least for me)
