Any background or thoughts on my Gazelle

I've bought a Gazelle Trim Trophy (see Catch of the Day) a few weeks ago. I know it's a good bike, and that I got a bargain at $50, but I'd like to know more about it. It's 531, with nice lugs, Shimano 105 rear mech, Shimano Exage 300 Ex at the front. Weinmann centrepulls, but with aero levers which I'm sure aren't original. 700 x 20 wheels (eek!). It's all in good nick, but could do with a clean. The number on the BB is 3299051. Can anyone help me with age and approx value, and anything else interesting (where did it fit in the range etc)? Pics on the link below, and thanks in advance......

I do not know this particular model, but Gazelle is (was ?) a bike manufacturing company in the Netherlands. They produced bikes under their own name and also manufactured bikes for Raleigh of England during the early 1970's. As I sold Raleighs during that time period, from shipment to shipment one model bike would be made in England and the other made in the Netherlands by Gazelle. Anyway, if it has Exage components it must be from the late 80's early 90's. No idea of the value, but Reynolds 531 and Shimano for $50 sounds like a great deal to me !

Is! And a large one at that. They are everywhere in NL, as they make all kinds - city, commuter, racing, ...

In fact, I am surprised that I never see one here unless it is being ridden by a Dutch person. Now any time I see one I automatically say hello to the rider in Dutch - it leads to some interesting conversations.

Their Gold Line racing bikes - https://www.gazelle.nl/www2/glr_framesets.php - are the closest thing they make to custom road bikes. I almost bought one when I lived there, but opted for a custom Vittorio instead: https://perso.wanadoo.fr/masong4/imagescycling2.htm

Gazelle gaat verder!
