Replacement chain shroud?

Yo-

So the shroud on my NYC chain is getting pretty sorry-looking. It's all torn and frayed on the ends, and has a good number of growing holes from crashing and sliding on the chain. In short, it looks like crap and is about to fall apart entirely. What I want to know is this - anyone know where I might get a new shroud? I like having one, as it keeps the chain from biting holes in my clothing, etc.

I ask in the FG/SS forum because everyone I know who has one of these locks rides fixed...

I have no idea what you're refering to! I just emailed my mother to see about having her sew one for me, but I won't make her do that if I can find a replacement one easily.

I'm gonna bite the bullet.
What the hell is a chain shroud?

Nevermind, got it.
I was thinking drivetrain chain.

I've always called it a "sleeve." you could probably make a really cool one out of nylon scraps.

Cut a MTB tube and use that.

i have no idea what they are called but a friend of mine put together a lookalike ny chain lock (with the chain cover) at home depot so i know they sell them there. it looked exactly like the NY's cover cept a different color.

Someone actually stole mine while my bike was chained up.
...as a mechanic once told me: "Remeber, they're pros, but they're also crack-heads."
